Jenny Hill leads the Committee’s mitigation work on buildings along with the international work programme, following on from two years heading up the team of analysts on buildings, industry and bioenergy. Recent outputs include the 2019 Net Zero advice, 2019 Housing report and 2018 Biomass Review. She joined the CCC in 2012, shaping the advice on heat decarbonisation scenarios and policy. Hill is a consultant by background, advising the European Commission and UK national and local governments on environmental policy (climate and air quality) and regeneration. She holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College (distinction), and a first-class honours degree from Cambridge University.
